I F***ING HATE MOTHS!

The thought of having a moth fluttering in the room slamming its wings to the wall terrorizes me....

I tried to get it out of my apartment by turning all the lights off and left the door open (I know...a double edge sword situation...) so that it would go toward the light!  But no.....this moth took it's time crawling instead of flying...maybe it hit itself too hard to the lightbulb.  I tried to fan it toward the door also but instead it goes toward me T_T...

When it finally landed on the outside of the door, I tried to *slam* the door (although not really possible considering it's 3am...).  I saw it crawling at the door gap and assumed it's out and my room was back in order....

But once I turned the light back on....it was right next to it......

FML!

It then flew around my apartment and landed in places in which I could actually squash it.  But because of my fear toward squashing giant bugs/arachnids, I tried to figure out where it is and hopefully I can isolate it.  I thought it went into my bathroom so I closed the door.....hopefully it'll stay there and die from natural causes!  (they have short life spans right?)

I hate this...when will I ever fix my sleeping schedule orz.

Need to be productive!

Deleted all of my mmorpg characters after hundreds of hours of playing since Sep. A nice way to break the on/off addiction I guess...

Time to read (academically and for fun ^^).

New Book

Spring Break is Over...

To celebrate the end of my unofficial Spring Break and my first trip down to Ranch Bernardo (since I took finals week off to go back home), I decided to drag myself out of the apartment with a 40% coupon and a returned store credit gift card and headed down to Borders in Westwood. My motivation for leaving the apartment was certainly low that day. By the time I got to the bookstore, it was already pitch-black outside...

After entering the store I know exactly which book I am looking for, Innocence by Kathleen Tessaro. I really like this author's screenplay writing style and really enjoyed her first book Elegance. It brought out all sorts of emotion out of me when I read this book in 2 days (probably the fastest read time I ever had since I had no other distractions...i.e. my laptop XD).

Unfortunately the book I was looking for wasn't there, and I have forgotten the titles that you have recommended to me, so I ended up walking up and down the fiction section to see if anything caught my eye...

I decided to pick this book called The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery. It's a translated book from French that tells a story of the tenants in a building, and how the main characters, the landlady and a teenage girl, show their true selves to the world through the help of a Japanese man named Ozu o.o . I'm certainly not the best person to summarize the story, so feel free to google it XD.

This author clearly has a huge influence in Japanese culture, and I guess that's what caught my eye. Furthermore, the title has the word Elegance...perhaps I'm just attracted to book titles with the word elegance?

Well, anywayz, it's still sitting on my desk at the moment. Probably will start reading later on this week :D.

RANCHO BERNARDO!

time to explore...

note to self: if you reserve car from Hertz from Westwood, make sure to see if the car IS there and IS not on its way to maintenance....
